1. About FairTickets
FairTickets is a UK-based ticketing platform operated by FairTickets Ltd (company details pending). We provide self-service ticketing software and administrative tools that let independent artists, promoters and venues (each an "Organiser") sell tickets and merchandise directly to fans through the Organiser's own connected payment processor account.
FairTickets is the platform and software provider. FairTickets is not the event organiser, promoter, venue, performer, seller or merchant of record for the underlying event, and does not receive, hold, safeguard or control the Organiser's ticket proceeds. Your ticket contract for the event itself is with the Organiser, as set out in our Purchase Terms. FairTickets is not responsible for the event, its delivery, cancellation, postponement, venue access, performer changes, non-delivery, or refunds owed by the Organiser, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
FairTickets may provide tools to help administer refunds through the Organiser's payment account, but does not fund, guarantee or underwrite refunds from its own money. FairTickets may suspend Organisers, events or accounts for non-compliance, unresolved customer complaints, suspected fraud, insufficient funds or unpaid amounts; suspension does not transfer the Organiser's obligations to FairTickets or make FairTickets liable for them.
2. Who can use the platform
You may use FairTickets if you are at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into a contract in the UK. If you are buying tickets on behalf of others, you are responsible for those attendees complying with the event's entry rules.
Some events have minimum age requirements set by the organiser or venue. Where we know those requirements, we display them before purchase.
3. Accounts and accurate information
You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account or buying tickets, keep your login credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission.
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, but we will not hold you responsible for unauthorised use once you have notified us and we have had a reasonable opportunity to secure the account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the platform for anything unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent;
- impersonate another person or provide false identity or payment information;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, orders, tickets, systems, or data;
- interfere with, disrupt, or place unreasonable load on the platform or its infrastructure;
- copy, scrape, republish, or resell FairTickets content or data;
- harass staff, artists, organisers, venue teams, or other users.
5. Anti-bot and anti-fraud rules
FairTickets is built to prevent scalping. You must not use bots, scripts, automated agents, purchase-farms, multiple identities, or any other technique to acquire more tickets than the per-order or per-event limits allow. You must not resell tickets above face value, and you must not evade our anti-fraud controls.
We may refuse, cancel, or void tickets we reasonably believe were obtained in breach of these rules. Where we cancel a ticket for fraudulent or unlawful acquisition, refund eligibility follows our Purchase Terms.
6. Suspension of accounts
We may suspend or close an account on reasonable grounds — for example, suspected fraud, repeated chargebacks, breach of these terms, or a legal or regulatory obligation. Suspension of an account does not automatically cancel valid tickets already purchased from that account, unless a specific ticket itself was fraudulently or unlawfully obtained.
We will give reasons and, where appropriate, a reasonable opportunity to respond, unless giving reasons would compromise a fraud or security investigation or breach a legal obligation.
7. Intellectual property
The FairTickets name, logo, platform, and original content are protected by intellectual property laws. Artists, organisers, promoters and venues retain the rights in their own names, artwork, event content, and merchandise imagery, and license the use of that material to FairTickets only to the extent needed to operate the platform.
You may not use FairTickets branding without our written permission.
8. Platform availability and third parties
We aim to keep the platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Payments are processed by Stripe; certain services (email delivery, hosting, analytics) are operated by third parties whose terms and privacy notices apply in addition to our own.
A brief outage or a routine maintenance window does not give a right to a refund unless it prevents you from receiving a valid ticket or attending an event you have paid for.
9. Complaints and contact
If something goes wrong, email support@fairtickets.example. We aim to acknowledge complaints within two working days and resolve them within a reasonable period. Legal notices should be sent to legal@fairtickets.example.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you in advance and give reasonable notice. Changes are not applied retrospectively to reduce rights or refund entitlements attached to purchases already completed under a previous version.
11. Governing law and consumer rights
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing here excludes or limits your statutory rights as a UK consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
